Even Keel's 2023 Shark Weekend Marks 7 Years of Partnership

Shark Weekend 2023 with Even Keel Tattoo was more than a success, it was the most fun we’ve had all year! Marking 7 years of partnership, each year gets bigger and better with repeat and new customers. This year we had the pleasure of engaging the Southern California community to take action against Set Gillnets and present our favorite Shark Cafe goodies to support the organization. Artists Kyle Walker, Denny Besnard, Erik Guy, Dion Terry and Tio Lou cranked out upwards of one hundred shark tattoos encompassing current flash and from years past.

We couldn’t have a successful showing without the deep talent and passion from these guys, as well as the Half Face Blades team. The San Diego-based company created a knife masterpiece echoing the patterns of a whale shark and including fine details of fossilized shark teeth. This knife was auctioned off to one lucky winner, all in the name of saving shark populations!
