Kayla was born and raised in Portland, Oregon where her love and passion for nature and the outdoors started at a very young age. Having access to some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world she was taught early on how sacred our planet is and that it should be treated accordingly. At Portland State University, Kayla was a member of Earth Share Oregon, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a sustainable future. After moving to Los Angeles, Kayla found herself in the world of Marketing where she’s worked for some of the biggest brands and agencies in the country. While her devotedness for change never wavered, it wasn’t until a recent trip to Hawaii where she caught a first-hand (underwater) glimpse of how imperative shark conservation plays in the planet’s eco-system. Her expertise is Brand Marketing and Strategic Partnerships has equipped Shark Allies with the tools to spread awareness through our first ever Shark Ally Ambasador Program. While new to the team, Kayla has a deep desire to make an impact through education + social awareness and believes we should all live through the lens of “leaving it better than you found it.”
