Clayton Hee (Hawaii)

Many of us thought a politician such as Clayton Hee may be a myth – a senator with integrity; a legislator that will fight for something simply because it’s the right thing to do.
Lucky for us he learned about shark fining and immediately took unprecedented action. Without him we wouldn’t have any of the recent legislative bills banning shark fins. He has stamped his name into the history books as the guy that had the guts to ban the possession and trade of fins in the State of Hawaii. All else that followed (as you will see in the “Legislation Update” page) is a direct result of his work that paved the way and which ultimately has created a Pacific movement.
Senator Hee will reluctantly accept such honors and will claim that he would rather take care of his ranch at home than be an activist, but lucky for us, he realizes that his help is key in this cause.

He is charismatic, charming and intimidating all at the same time; in Hawaii, he is known to be a “strong headed” politician, that goes his own way and that is not afraid to lock horns with anyone that wishes to go up against him.
We are very fortunate to have him on our side.
